Mobile Chocolate Festival
March 4 in Mobile

The Mobile Chocolate Festival will feature vendors offering their chocolate-related products for sampling as well as purchasing. Also featured are a children’s area, Mobile Fixture Demonstration Stage, Chocolate Challenge, Project YumWay, a cupcake booth, chocolate martini tasting and more.

Foley BBQ & Blues Cook-Off
March 18 in Foley

Professional and amateur teams compete for trophies, prizes and bragging rights in several categories: Chicken, Anything Butt, Ribs, Just Butts, Sauce and People’s Choice. Festival goers enjoy great food, popular blues bands, children’s activities, arts and crafts vendors and a raffle. Admission charged. All proceeds benefit the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation and area schools. Held annually on the third Saturday in March.

Biergarten at the US Space & Rocket Center
Thursday nights starting March 2 in Huntsville

Visit the U.S. Space & Rocket Center Saturn V Hall in the Davidson Center for Space Exploration every Thursday from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. beginning March 2, 2017, and each Thursday night thereafter through October 26, for the German Biergarten, featuring authentic German cuisine. Enjoy the festive atmosphere with imported and domestic beers and delicious wines from the German region. It’s family-friendly and leashed dogs are welcome on our Apollo Terrace and in Apollo Courtyard. Alabama Department of Public Health regulations stipulate that only service dogs are permitted inside the Davidson Center for Space Exploration during the event. Admission is free, and food and beverages are available for purchase. To support our local community, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center is featuring a nonprofit organization each week, and a portion of food sales that evening will be donated to the organization.

Make The Grill at Iron City part of your weekly routine! Introducing, Sound Sessions in The Grill at Iron City. Join us after work on Fridays to experience the best of local flavor, both on your plate and on our intimate restaurant stage. We’ll showcase a different local musician, or band, every Friday with a variety of local beverages and creative dishes. Music begins at 5:30PM and ends at 7:30PM.

Ballyhoo Festival
March 4 in Gulf Shores

The Ballyhoo Festival is a fine arts event, which also features cultural exchange. Visitors can expect to browse the original art work of artists from several states. The Poarch Creek Indians will perform original tribal dance in ceremonial regalia. There will be a fun spoof event called Queen of Ballyhoo Contest. In addition there will be on site art demonstrations, children’s hands-on art activities, a Ballyhoo trackless train for children, and local seafood by Waterway Village District restaurants. Boda Getta BBQ Competition
March 3 in Auburn

Professional BBQ teams from across the southeast gather at University Station RV Resort to compete for cash prizes. Spectators will enjoy a weekend of live music, food, vendors, children’s activities, children’s fun run and more.
